The BMF BMF’s top cutting. If you haven’t read the blog about the base of this plant, you should. It not only provides compelling evidence of the growth this plant is capable of, it also is mildly entertaining.

This top cutting is tall and getting taller - and more unwieldy - by the minute. The top leaves are also getting longer and longer as they come out - two new leaves since I’ve had it, and these are supposed to be pretty slow growers. It’s currently running up a bamboo stake that’s about 2’ tall. It still has some room to grow up, but the stake is also, handily, working as a counterweight.

Honestly, this isn’t my favorite plant. Maybe I’ll feel different about it if I still have it when it gets fenestrated leaves. I doubt it, but anything possible.

Aggressive, clunky, and currently taking up more than its fair share of rent. This one is for the grower who actually wants to see progress while walking around a plant that’s taking up more room than it seems like it should.

This plant is currently living in a 4" grower's liner to accommodate its luscious root system. It’s potted in my signature 'Not Dirt' substrate—I won't sell the mix to you because it’s a hot mess to make, but the plants clearly love the drama of it.

I’ve vetted these beauties to ensure they’re healthy and happy, but I can’t guarantee what they’ll do once they leave my greenhouse. If I could control nature, I’d be a wizard, and I’d probably have a much cooler hat. 🧙‍♂️
