$42.00
My entire life I’ve thought Ficus plants of any ilk were grandma plants. It’s probably because my grandma had them, but that’s beside the point.
I found these guys one day and thought - what the heck? And I am SO glad that I did.
THEY ARE SO EASY!
I’ve heard Ficus can be fickle and drop leaves and be dramatic and I just have not had that experience at all. Sure, some of the bottom leaves have yellowed a tad, maybe drooped a bit after an up-pot. But honestly, I don’t know any plants that don’t do that.
And these things have grown into little trees! It’s so freaking cool!
The roots are an absolute pleasure to watch grow. Every time you pull the clear liner out of your cache pot, I’d be willing to bet there’s more growth than you expected.
They’re pretty standard on care with most tropicals - 40-60 humidity minimum, bright indirect light, warm is better than cold as long as it’s not directly under a HVAC vent. You know, the usual.
I’m shocked more people don’t have these. We need to start a social campaign for how great they are!
Maybe someone already did that? IDK, but I bet if you get one of these you’ll have a tree in your house before you know it that doesn’t ask a whole lot from you and just enjoys sharing your space.
This plant is currently living in a 6" clear liner to accommodate its luscious root system. It’s potted in my signature 'Not Dirt' substrate—I won't sell the mix to you because it’s a hot mess to make, but the plants clearly love the drama of it.
I’ve vetted these beauties to ensure they’re healthy and happy, but I can’t guarantee what they’ll do once they leave my greenhouse. If I could control nature, I’d be a wizard, and I’d probably have a much cooler hat. 🧙♂️
