Philodendron Billietiae | Completely Unfazed

Ok so here’s the deal. I like this one. It’s got the cool long leaves. It’s self-heading, meaning you don’t have to run it up a pole. But the best thing about this plant is that unlike every other philo I have with long leaves, it’s not fragile. It’s not dainty.

This is a plant with thick, glossy leaves (think closer to a Birkin than a paraiso verde texture). It has a presence.

I refuse to price it down to what other people are selling theirs for because I thoroughly enjoy walking past it every day, multiple times a day. I have it in the least humid part of the house, sitting by a front door that opens and closes, getting bumped by a giant dog and anyone who walks by.

It remains unphased.

So if you wanna buy it, go ahead, but I’m going to need you to give me a great suggestion for something else to admire by the front door when you do.

This plant is currently living in a 6" clear liner to accommodate its luscious root system. It’s potted in my signature 'Not Dirt' substrate—I won't sell the mix to you because it’s a hot mess to make, but the plants clearly love the drama of it.

I’ve vetted these beauties to ensure they’re healthy and happy, but I can’t guarantee what they’ll do once they leave my greenhouse. If I could control nature, I’d be a wizard, and I’d probably have a much cooler hat. 🧙‍♂️
